501. Infringement of Copyright

(a) According to the law, anyone who violates this law and steals the rights of this copyright owner as mentioned under sections 106 through 122 or the right of the author provided under section 106 (A) or anyone who imports copies or phone records into the US in the violation of section 602 is considered as offender of right of owner or an infringer of copyright. For purposes of this chapter (other than section 506), any reference to the copyright shall be deemed to encircle the right mentioned in section 106 A (a). Here, the term ‘anyone’ is used for a state, officer, any instrumentality of a state, employee of state or instrumentality of state acting in his or her official capacity. Any officer, employee, state and any such instrumentality shall be subjected to provisions of this title in the identical way and to the same extent as nongovernmental entity.

(b) The beneficial owner of an exclusive right under a copyright is entitled, subject to the requirements of section 411, to institute for any action of transgression or breech of that particular right while he or she is the owner of the same. The court will require and demand the written notice of the action with a valid copy of complaint open any person, by the records of copyright office, to claim an interest in the copyright and will require that such notice be served open any person whose interest is likely to get affected by this decision. The court may feel the necessity of joinder and shall allow the intervention of any individual claiming an interest in copyright.
